What are cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, to remember preferences, and to provide information to website owners.
Cookies can be set by the website you are visiting (first-party cookies) or by third-party services that provide content or functionality on that site (third-party cookies).
How we use cookies
On the public New Brand Media website we use cookies only where needed to:
- Deliver the site and keep certain features working
- Remember a small number of preferences tied to specific features (for example unlocking a password-protected case study in your browser)
We do not currently use cookies to serve advertising, or to run Google Analytics / similar marketing analytics on the public site. If that changes, we will update this policy and add a consent mechanism where required.
Categories of cookies we use
Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are needed for the site or a specific feature to work. They do not require consent under PECR when they are strictly necessary.
| Cookie name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| cs_unlock_* | Remembers that you unlocked a password-protected case study in this browser so you do not have to re-enter the password on every page load | Session / short-lived (scoped to that case study path) |
| nbm-preview-theme | Internal design-preview preference for concept themes (used on preview tooling, not required for normal browsing) | Session / short-lived |
Ordinary visitors browsing public pages may see no cookies at all, depending on which features they use.
WordPress / CMS cookies
Our content is managed in WordPress. WordPress may set session and login cookies if you (or our team) access the WordPress admin area. Ordinary visitors to the public marketing site do not need those cookies.
| Cookie name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| wordpress_* | WordPress session management for admin users | Session |
| wordpress_logged_in_* | Confirms login status for WordPress admin users | Session |
| wp-settings-* | Stores WordPress dashboard preferences | Up to 1 year |
Analytics cookies
We do not currently set Google Analytics or equivalent analytics cookies on the public site.
Marketing and tracking cookies
We do not currently use marketing or advertising cookies on the public site. If this changes, we will update this policy and our consent mechanism accordingly.
Third-party cookies and embeds
Some pages load third-party tools that may set their own cookies when you use them:
- Cal.com on the contact page (booking a call). Cal.com may set cookies when the booking embed loads or when you complete a booking. Those cookies are controlled by Cal.com under its own privacy policy.
- WhatsApp / social links take you to third-party sites. Those sites set their own cookies once you leave ours.
We do not control third-party cookies. Please review the relevant third-party privacy and cookie notices.
Managing your cookie preferences
Browser settings: You can control cookies through your browser. Most browsers let you refuse cookies, delete existing cookies, or warn you before a cookie is set. Disabling cookies may affect features such as remembering a case-study unlock.
Guidance for common browsers:
- [Google Chrome](https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647)
- [Mozilla Firefox](https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/block-websites-storing-cookies-site-data-firefox)

Consent banner: Because we do not currently set non-essential analytics or marketing cookies for ordinary visits, we do not show a cookie consent banner. If we introduce non-essential cookies, we will add an appropriate consent control and update this page.
Changes to this policy
We will update this Cookie Policy if we change the cookies we use. We will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made.
